Our Staff

Cassie I
Cassie I. | Client Care Representative

Cassie attended Sanford Brown College for medical assistance. She later found out, jokingly in her words, “humans aren’t as fun as animals,” and has been in the veterinary world for 5 years. She prides herself on providing personal and compassionate customer service to clients, and it makes her happy to “see our patients leave with tails held high”. She is easygoing and loves her downtime, where she enjoys knitting and crocheting.

Brooke M
Brooke M. | Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician

Brooke has been a veterinary technician for 9 years and a valued part of BVC for the last 5 years. She attended school at PCC and has had a lifelong love of animals. Her desire to help and understand them led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, where she spends each day improving the lives of our patients. Outside of work, she spends time with her daughter and two cats. She enjoys being out in nature or exploring the city. She is always on the lookout for a new thrift store or coffee shop!

Derrick D
Derrick D., | Veterinary Technician

Derrick has been a part of veterinary medicine for over 27 years! He is from Portland and went to Grant High School. One of the things he enjoys most about the field is the ability to connect with people. Being a part of BVC for so many years has given him a strong connection to our clients and a dedication to their animals. Having a sick pet can be a stressful, emotional time. Helping owners manage their pets’ care and understand the importance and benefit of their medical treatment can be very rewarding. He enjoys cooking, camping, and gaming!

Dustin S
Dustin S. | Practice Manager / Veterinary Technician

Dustin was born and raised in Portland. He grew up in a medical family with a veterinarian father, and has been immersed in the field from a very young age. He attended Grant High School, not far from BVC, and later Oregon State University. A deep love of science and a passion for animals has kept him in the world of veterinary medicine for over 20 years! The connection between people and nature/animals was instilled in him early on, and the bond between people and their pets never ceases to amaze him. He prides himself on treating every person and patient with compassion, kindness, and empathy. He values knowledge, growth, and sharing that with the team and clients. In his free time, he and his wife enjoy anything sports and outdoors; from soccer, biking, swimming, hiking, and camping, to leisure games or just kicking a ball around or playing with their two young daughters!

Isabella M
Isabella M. | Client Care Representative / Veterinary Assistant

Isabella has been in veterinary medicine for 6 years in a variety of positions. She recently joined the Broadway Veterinary team and has quickly become an asset both as a customer service representative and a room technician. Her desire to help everyone she encounters shows in her communication and attention with clients and the team. She loves spending her free time painting, hiking, listening to podcasts, and hanging out with her dog, Arthur

Kendra H.
Kendra H. | Client Care Representative

Kendra is one of our most recognizable faces as she has been a fixture at our front desk since 2016. She came to veterinary medicine through a love of the wilderness of Oregon and Washington, which led to her volunteering as a Zooteen, and she never looked back! She attended Oregon State University and proudly supports the Beavers. She decided to make her career in the vet world because, as much as she enjoys the science of medicine, she would not want to work in the human field. In her free time, she spends as much time outside as possible, especially if it involves water. She loves the rain, hanging out at the river, and staring at the ocean.

She transitioned into practice management in 2021 and loves the combination of medicine, patients, clients, and overall problem-solving. She attended Crowder College in Southwest Missouri. Both her parents are veterinarians, and she grew up in their practice. She is passionate about client education and making sure every visit goes as smoothly as possible for our patients and clients. She recently welcomed a daughter and is excited to share her devotion to the KC Chiefs, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Oregon Symphony!

Ellie O.
Ellie O. | Veterinary Technician

Ellie is a bright light who has been with Broadway Vet since May 2024. Her love for animals developed as she learned to care for the many varied species of pets with which she grew up. This cultivated a passion for veterinary knowledge and discovering new information. Her desire to learn expresses itself in her excitement for continuing education, and she is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to get her degree in veterinary technology. In her limited free time, she still manages to find time for her hobbies of boxing, reading, hiking, movies, and eating!

Isabelle T.
Isabelle T. | Veterinary Technician

She is an advocate for her patients, acting as their voice to make sure they always get the best care. In her free time, she loves hiking with her son and two dogs, shopping at TJ Maxx, and impressing the team with her amazing karaoke skills!

Anna S. | Veterinary Technician

Anna graduated from high school with knowledge in health science, thinking she wanted to be a nurse. She went on to try cosmetology school first, but it made her realize her true passion was medicine and caring for animals. She is currently looking to go back to school and continue her education in veterinary technology. She loves the field because every day is different, which brings new learning experiences, and it is never boring. Client education is very important to her, helping owners better understand their pet’s health care needs. Everyone wants their pets to live a long, happy, healthy life, and she wants to help achieve that. In her personal life, she strives for a good balance. She enjoys exploring the city, trying new restaurants, but also loves being cozied up on a couch watching movies with her loyal companion, Gerber!

Michelle B.
Michelle B. | Veterinary Technician

Michelle has been with Broadway since 2019 after spending the first four years of her veterinary career at a clinic in Alaska. She is currently in school for her degree in veterinary technology on the path to becoming a CVT. She loves math and science, which she gets to use every day! Her true passion is dental anesthesia, and she has been a driving force in improving our dental protocols and education over the last several years. Our whole team has benefited from her desire to learn and educate! Outside of work, she loves make-up and singing. You’ll usually catch her at work with a little glitter and a rhinestone or two!

Mariah L. | Veterinary Technician

Mariah has been in the field for 5 years. She got her Veterinary Assistant certification from Carrington College. She chose the field to give a voice to those who don’t have one. Working in veterinary medicine isn’t just about making sure the pets are physically healthy, but also mentally, and living lives full of enrichment. In her free time, she loves making art, playing video games, spending time with loved ones, and taking care of her plants and pets!
