At Broadway Veterinary Clinic, we believe in transparency and open communication with our clients. General Questions
Are you currently accepting new clients?
Our ability to accept new clients varies with demand, and often we are not able to accept new clients in order to be able to provide the best and most timely care to our already established clients. Please call to inquire if we are accepting new clients.
Do you accept walk-ins or are you an Urgent Care/Emergency Clinic?
We are a general practice, full service veterinary clinic and are appointment only.
We do offer a limited amount of same day/urgent care appointments for our established clients but we ask that you call first for availability.
If we are at capacity and your pet is in urgent need of care we can help refer you. Please call for information or see our resource page for lists of Urgent Care/ER’s and/or Specialists in our area.
If we are closed and your pet is having an emergency please call or go to the nearest Emergency Hospital.
What type of animals do you see?
We are a small animal, cat and dog only clinic.
Do you do international health certificates?
We do not do international health certificates. If you are looking to travel or move with your pet internationally, we recommend working with an international pet travel service. We do offer health certificates for air travel within the United States. If your pet needs specific testing for travel (like a FAVN Rabies Titer), we are happy to assist in any preliminary testing or vaccination requirements.
Do you offer boarding or grooming?
No, we do not offer boarding as we are not a 24/7 facility. We also do not offer grooming other than medically necessary procedures.
Do you offer payment plans?
No, payment is due at the time of service. We do not offer payment plans unless one has previously been approved by management prior to services rendered. We will provide an estimate upon request for any service or procedure. We will work with any pet insurance you may have, and we are happy to provide you with the necessary invoices or medical notes for submission and reimbursement from them.
Where can I park/do you offer parking?
We have a small parking lot located on the West side of our building. If you have a large truck or van, it may be difficult to fit. To access it, you drive past our building and take your first right up a driveway. Street parking on Broadway directly in front of our building is also an option. The parking lot on the East side of our building (with the mural) is not ours, and you could be towed.

Can I get medications filled in clinic?
We have a full in-house pharmacy offering a range of medications, preventatives, and prescription diets. However we can only dispense prescription products to those that have a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship with us, meaning established clients whose pets we have seen in the last year for an exam.
We also offer compounding through several compounding pharmacies if medicating your pet is difficult or a specific form or dose is needed and not commercially available.
Do you have an online pharmacy?
Yes, we do have an online pharmacy available through one of our distributors, which can be found here https://broadwayvetpdx.covetruspharmacy.com/. We strive to keep our prices of medications and preventatives in the clinic comparable to the other big online pharmacies, but for anything we don’t carry, over-the-counter products, or items you want shipped directly to you, please visit our online pharmacy.
What foods do you carry?
We carry prescription diets by Hill’s©, Royal Canin©, and Purina©. Any diet from them that we don’t keep in stock can be special-ordered for you or purchased from our online pharmacy and delivered to you.
Are you hiring?
If you are interested in joining our incredible team, any available positions can be found on Indeed©
Are you corporate owned?
No, we are a private, family owned business since 1992.
