A Neighborhood Clinic with a

Founded in 1993 by Dr. Duane Schaad, Broadway Veterinary Clinic began just next door to its current home on NE Broadway. As the clinic’s reputation for thorough, compassionate care grew, so did the need for a larger space. In 2004, the clinic expanded to its current purpose-built location—designed with both comfort and functionality in mind—and opened its doors in 2005.
The beloved doggoyle sculpture “Doglandia,” named through a community contest, stands proudly on the side of the building, welcoming pets and people alike. More than just a fixture, “Doglandia” has become a local icon, symbolizing the quirky charm and community spirit that Portland is known for.
